Afropop international sensation Mr Eazi aka Mr Zagadat and self proclaimed pioneer of Banku music which he states is a fusion of Ghanaian hiplife,Ghanaian slangs and lyrics, Nigerian highlife melodies and afropop beats.
He has been gaining rapid worldwide rcognition since the release of hits like 'Skin Tight' back in 2015 to his more recent mixtape titled 'Life Is Eazi Vol 1- Accra to Lagos' and his most popular hit to date 'Leg Over' released earlier this year which has now just been released on as a remix by the Lazer music label featuring the very popular RnB Rapper French Montana.
To state that Mr Eazi career has been soaring is probably an understatement however his rapid rise to fame has not been without some controversy as he has ruffled a few feathers by claiming that 60% of Nigerian Afropop artists including WizKid who is still seen as more popular and well known have been copying his lyrics and style and one of tweets earlier this year claiming that Nigerian pop music has been heavily influenced by Ghanaian music did not go down well with many of his fans on twitter.
Whatever your opinion on him 'Leg Over' has been a massive international hit and has helped to further establish afropop as a mainstream genre
